Richard completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of NSW in 1981 followed by a Law Degree from the University of Technology. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1989.

He commenced practice in Mudgee in 1990 with a local firm and after many years started his own firm and became a sole practitioner in 2011. In 2013 the firm’s trading name was changed to the current name: Richard Wise Solicitor.
Richard has broad experience in all the firm’s areas of law; Property Law including buying and selling of town and rural properties, Commercial & Business Law, Family Law, Traffic particularly involving driving offences and Criminal Law appearances at Mudgee and in the neighbouring towns of Gulgong, Rylstone and Dunedoo.
In addition to Court matters he also helps clients with their Estate Planning as well as drafting Wills and the administration of deceased Estates.
He is a Member of the Mudgee Chamber of Commerce and has a very strong commitment to the Mudgee area. Richard says he cannot envisage practicing anywhere else.
Richard is married to Rozanna and they have two young adult daughters. Richard’s family migrated from India to Australia in 1969, so living in Australia for 50 years represents a most important milestone.
His interests include trekking- having walked the Kokoda Track in New Guinea and the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia. Other interests include travelling, history, art, classical music and sport involving many football codes in many locations.
Rebecca joined Richard Wise Solicitor in July 2015 and since that time works primarily in Criminal and Traffic Law as well as in Family Law, providing secretarial support. In addition she also assists at reception.

She has worked in the legal profession since 2011. In 2014 Rebecca completed an Advanced Diploma in Paralegal Secretarial through the International Career Institute. In 2017 she completed a Certificate of Family Law through Australian Online Courses. She strives to continually expand her overall range of legal skills by undertaking various matters in our different areas of law and by studying for her law degree at the University of New England.
Rebecca is highly organised, committed to providing excellent client service and thoroughly enjoys her job.
In her spare time Rebecca is very involved with her young family – with a young son and daughter. She enjoys a good romance novel (when time permits!).
